partners
GEM is a collaboration between public and private international organisations from around the world that play an active role in earthquake risk assessment and management.
Partners play a key role in ensuring that GEM tools and resources are promoted and utilized by local and international communities to help reduce earthquake fatalities, injuries, destruction, dislocation and economic losses.
Public participants are public institutions operating at national, regional or city level; they exchange experiences on earthquake risk modeling, assessment and reduction, participate in events and workshops, provide feedback on products and work with the Secretariat on varioius initiatives. They contribute to the effort through their funding, network and experiences.
Private Partners are invited for technical meetings and workshops, exchange experiences and become part of a much-valued network of leaders in the field of earthquake risk assessment and reduction. At present, companies can choose from four available sponsor packages. In the near future, GEM will add a more flexible sponsor package for other companies to become part of GEM.
GEM collaborates with organisations that are associate partners and have a non-voting seat on the Governing Board.
